Burkholder’s HVAC Helps Survivors of Human Trafficking Build New Lives
From May 1, 2019, through June 14, 2019, Burkholder’s HVAC donated $10 per new maintenance agreement and $5 per renewed maintenance agreement purchased to Truth for Women. Thanks to our customers, we sold 70 new contracts and renewed 383 contracts—totaling $2,615. The donated funds will be used to help provide life-changing services such as therapy, support groups, shelter, utilities, clothing, food and more to victims of human trafficking.
Truth for Women is a Lehigh Valley based non-profit organization that provides restorative care to survivors of sex trafficking through the Truth Home Program. The Truth Home is a therapeutic residential home that offers a safe place where motivated women have the opportunity and resources to rebuild their lives. The home provides a warm, family setting for women, consisting of 8-12 months in an intensive therapeutic environment.
Truth for Women also partners with local law enforcement to free women enslaved in sex trafficking.
