The goal of this project was to build and install a custom system designed to maintain a consistent level of humidity and temperature year-round. The system Burkholder’s made retains a consistent temperature of 70-degrees with 70% humidity year-round. The system conditions 100% outside air which first runs through a 12,000-cfm heat wheel to conserve some of the building’s energy. It is heated with natural gas and cooled with 35 tons through 7 split DX units.
